Providing thought leadership at the Fast Casual Executive Summit  
Company: Rewards Network

In an ongoing effort to establish Rewards Network as a thought leader in the restaurant loyalty space, the B2B Marketing Team publishes white paper reports to both educate and generate qualified leads. This particular report, published for the 9th Annual Fast Casual Summit, focused on how consumer behavior drives dining decisions. I partnered with the Social Media Manager and Lead Copywriter to construct a cohesive narrative, in addition to designing the document.

The Strategy
Use of data visualizations to deliver a powerful message

Leveraging the data collected from Rewards Network member surveys, it was apparent that the right experience, coupled with the right incentives to dine are the key motivating reasons why diners become repeat customers. The Reviews and Ratings Dining report presented some of the most compelling data points, combined with the analysis of our B2B marketing team’s restaurant industry experience, in an effort to influence restaurant clients to leverage data to drive more business. The challenge was bringing the data to life in a manner that would be easy to understand and consume, as reports are notorious for being stale–full of numbers and too much copy that turn people off from reading the message. I decided to take a different approach and create a visually driven document that helps distill the data into a more “reader-friendly” format.

Not your typical industry report

Aside from being a B2B marketing tool, this report was an extension of the Rewards Network brand, by which, the look and feel needed to be consistent with the new brand guidelines I worked with the team to create. Each page would leverage a flat illustration style, using the brand color palette and striking typography to bring the data points to life.
