A new creative direction for a dynamic agency
Client: NiKnack Marketing

In 2018, I had the privilege of entering into a creative partnership with NiKnack Marketing, a full-service marketing agency in Chicago’s trendy Bucktown neighborhood.  With two accomplished woman CEOs at the helm, the agency provides clients with marketing, branding and event management services. This website redesign was one of the first projects I took on.

Making enterprise software more
user friendly
Client: Accenture

Working with the global technology team at Accenture, I was charged with evaluating the user experience of a self-service HR portal built on the ServiceNow platform. The goal was to bring the portal at parity with similar, easy to use, consumer-facing products by identifying usability issues and proposing ways to resolve them. While the UI design was out of scope, I did create some mockups for inspiration.

Taking the stress out of travel planning
Personal Project: Escape Travel

This project is a personal one (with a fictional name), derived from a blog post I wrote, expressing frustration about the utility of travel websites.  In this creative exploration, I reimagine a completely different experience that is focused on the consumer/user needs vs. the industry’s business goals.

Award winning campaigns for a leading US newspaper
Company: Chicago Tribune

At Chicago Tribune Media Group, I led a multidisciplinary team of creatives embedded in the Marketing department, focused on both B2B and B2C new business development opportunities for the company. As Creative Marketing Manager/Creative Director, I was supported by (3) team leads, whom I promoted to Art Directors, that I collaborated with to conceptualize and create cross-platform advertising campaigns for the company, as well as, for our clients.

Creating a visual design system for a beloved entertainment brand
Client: iCrossing (Chuck E. Cheese account)

Contracted as a freelancer with iCrossing (my once former employer), I created various campaign assets for the creative team in Dallas, working on the Chuck E. Cheese account.  As a part of this engagement, I was tasked with creating a visual design system for Chuckecheese.com, critical documentation for the client’s development team which had not previously existed.

Giving iTunes an overdue tune-up
Personal Project: iTunes Desktop App Redesign

During some downtime, I decided to explore a redesign of the iTunes desktop application. While high-level, the redesign showcases a more visually appealing and vastly more intuitive interface that leverages familiar iTunes components.

Using social media content to challenge banking attitudes
Company: iCrossing (Ally Bank account)

Known previously as GMAC, Ally had just rebranded themselves, debuting their new straightforward, transparent brand positioning. The bank engaged iCrossing to lead their social media and digital content creation efforts.  As the Creative Lead on the account, I was responsible for the creative content development across the bank’s social media ecosystem. The social campaign was awarded the 2011 Forrester Groundswell award for the innovative use of real-time online content creation and social media.

Improving UX to create tastier dining experiences
Company: Rewards Network

As Director of Creative and User Experience, I led the redesign of all of the Rewards Network partner websites, in an effort to address several usability issues. Using the company’s proprietary brand (iDine) as a sandbox, new features were designed that would eventually be deployed across all of the white-label websites.

Establishing the look of a new fitness brand
Company: NiKnack Marketing

“Elite Fitness” (name and logo changed due to an NDA) goes beyond personal training, encouraging clients to take care of themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. Their mission is to promote healthy lifestyles for lasting fitness and overall wellness. As the brand designer, I created a comprehensive identity that reflects the company’s mission and client’s personal aesthetic.

Evolving the branding for an AdAge agency
to watch
Company: iCrossing

Looking to refresh the brand identity for iCrossing (a global digital agency owned by Hearst), I was tapped by the ECD to work on concepts for a new visual system. I began by creating a moodboard then applied that look-and-feel to several other marketing assets, including business cards, a pitch deck template, and an abbreviated style guide to ensure consistent application of brand elements.

Improving conversion for live event ticketing
Company: TicketsNow/Ticketmaster

TicketsNow (now Ticketmaster TicketExchange) is a secondary ticket marketplace, wherein, consumers can purchase hard-to-find, premium tickets to music, sports and theater events.  As the head of Creative, I was charged with redesigning the website to address high homepage bounce rates and shopping cart abandonment. While TicketsNow has since been disbanded, I’m proud of the work that was done and decided to showcase it.

Providing thought leadership at the Fast Casual Executive Summit
Company: Rewards Network

In an ongoing effort to establish Rewards Network as a thought leader in the restaurant loyalty space, the B2B Marketing Team publishes white paper reports to both educate and generate qualified leads. This particular report, published for the 9th Annual Fast Casual Summit, focused on how consumer behavior drives dining decisions. I partnered with the Social Media Manager and Lead Copywriter to construct a cohesive narrative, in addition to designing the document.
